We had set out early from Toledo to make sure we captured golden hour. Rain and traffic delays cost us precious time and when we arrived, the light was still present but time was short. I found the spot I wanted and composed the photograph, but the clouds weren't cooperating. They raced across the sky, the storm having just departed, but the light was was never illuminating the scene in just the right way. I released the shutter a number of times, but I wasn't getting the shot I had wanted. But just when I was about to give up, the clouds, sky and sun all came together and presented this image. Patience! (and a little luck) pays off.

  • Some find it odd that I don’t consider myself a professional photographer. For me, photography isn’t work. It is the personal documentation of my travels. These are the places I’ve been with my family, and each photograph has a story behind it.

If you purchase a photograph, it will not come with a watermark, of course.
